Thyme looks so delicate as it grows with the long thin stem sprouting little, teeny, tiny leaves from the center of the stem. When I see a patch of Thyme thriving in the garden, I always think the Fairies are up to something around this delicate plant. Yes, I believe in Fairies! To me, this fluffy, aromatic herb looks like itโ€™s from some sort of fairy land. Oh, to get lost in a forest of thyme.

The delicate strands of Thyme with their sweet, tiny flower and distinctive flavour can jazz up any soup, stew or pasta. Thyme has very thin stems and a sweet little flower that I think looks stunning as a garnish. The tiniest bit can dress up a dessert, beverage or charcuterie board. These savory little leaves are also full of a lot of goodness for you. Iโ€™ve heard that these little, tiny leaves have properties of anti-bacteria and can help with cough and colds. I like to mix thyme, mint and a pinch anise seed for a relaxing cuppa.

Thyme can also help bring protection, courage, strength, victory and love. Itโ€™s a feminine herb associated with Venus. A nosegay of thyme, tied with a pink ribbon hanging near your doorway will protect your house from negative energy. As will a pot of thyme growing near your front door. You canโ€™t go wrong growing Thyme. Or at least think of the Fairies, they need a place to frolic!
